Web hosting

Currently, the company we are with privides us service of 500mb storage, 15gb traffic per month, 15 email accounts at. $200 per year. I am new to being the website administrator and this seems awful limited. Looking at other I see GBytes for storage hundreds of email accounts..... Is there something I am not seeing on these sites or are we getting ripped. Thanks for the input.

Re: Web hosting

imo you are overpaying - what you are getting should cost less than half of what you are paying for. As far as those hundreds of mail accounts, they are limited to the amount of storage and bandwidth you purchased. So basically its not really a good deal to have hundreds of email accounts if they are active and your site is active.

Re: Web hosting

Oh wow i agree that is a rediculous price. A while back redcore sugested hostgator to me and it is great. heres the url http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml i would go with the baby package its $10 a mounth (it says $7 but that is incorect i forget why though) 6,000 GB of ban width PER MONTH. 600 GB of storage space. unlimited E-mail accounts. and a lot of other stuff. It was a bit tricky to learn at first but take a day or so and watch all the tutorials it provides you with and it become really easy. you can transfer your URL to there but i don't remeber how ( i bought mine from them but i transfered my tearchers for him, just ask the live support were the tutorial for transfering domain name is) I highly recomend this service it is the best i have seen i shoped around a lot before decideing. ( in my opinion the baby package is the best deal but i dint look to hard at all the packages) Well good luck man.

Edit: because of the hundreds of email accounts you might want to look into the swamp package for the unlimited ban width.
