Flash MX, game programming

This is my first time creating a game
I am trying to make a game similar to the Packman game.

Does anyone know the game Packman? For the computer or enemy character, is there a way to make it turn around. Here is screenshot of what the character should look like if they change direction.
If the character move left, the character's face will face left.
If the character move right, the character's face will face right.

I think the changing position strip for the computer character is similiar to the user character.

1) if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {
2) fox.move.x = -1;
3) fox._xscale = Math.abs(fox._xscale);
4) } else if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
5) fox.move.x = 1;
6) fox._xscale = -Math.abs(fox._xscale);

line 1 if player push the left key
line 2 the fox move left
line 3 the image of the fox face left
line 4 if player push the right key
line 5 the fox move right
line 6 the image of the fox is flip, so it is facing right.

Without the Key.isdown command, is there a way to tell the computer to move left and face left, move right and face right.

Re: Flash MX, game programming

Second Question. I think this a easier question.

How do u customize the cursor?

OnClipEvent (load) {
//hide cursor
Mouse.hide();
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
//set the cursor
_root["cursor"] ._x= _root._xmouse;
_root["cursor"] ._y= _root._ymouse;
}
What am I missing?
