lag time
Using D/W 4 on winxp2nd computer has 2gig ram 80gig hd 2.4processor
after constructing a web page and saving it to the directory, and after closing the page, I have a lag time of about 30 seconds before the directory appears on the screen again. Crucial said it was ram so I increased the ram to 2 gigs from 1 gig. Didn't help. I believe the problem may be as a result of the size of the web page located at www.godsmarines.com but I have no way of knowing this for sure. no other programs have this problem. It is not earth shattering but it is aggravating. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you. email to me at EMAIL REMOVED Last edited by ebackhus; 09-22-2007 at 08:18 PM. |

Re: lag time
@ chosinmarine: I'm not sure, but it might be that Dreamweaver 4 is to old to be able to deal with Windows XP in a completely good way. 2 gigs should be more than enough to work with. It could also be that due to the old version, it also can not deal very well with the newest forms of flash movie. But it could maybe also be the flash-file itself if it is a big file...
In any case, you might to consider to get a newer version of Dreamweaver, I myself use version 6.0 (or MX) which work without any problems.
