Web Easy Pro memory & rich text problems

I am newbie here, been reading several posts, and I appreciate the helpful, gracious people here to answer questions for the Clueless, of which I am one.

I have my own website I began creating in MS Word (i know, i know) and uploading with ftp. Word is frustrating me, so I just recently purchased Web Easy Pro. I know nothing about HTML, this is just for a very small home-based business, and while I am pretty computer literate, WEP is not at all user-friendly as I had hoped (at least I don't think so). I like the neat stuff you can do (using one piece of scrolling text and lots of rollovers with DHTML), but am struggling with several issues.

When I try to build or preview my website in WEP, I get an error:

The instruction at "0x0289b477" referenced memory at "0x01823874". The memory could not be "written".

WEP's knowledge base has a post about reinstalling IE to correct the problem, and I have done so, upgrading to IE7 while I was at it. That has not corrected the problem, I still get the same error. I have notified WEP's email tech support, but any ideas would be appreciated. Needless to say, my website is still what I wrote in Word.

My second problem is that after I upgraded to IE7, now all my rich text appears to have a purple outline. I cannot find any way to modify this. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Anita

Re: Web Easy Pro memory & rich text problems

I tried WebEasy several years ago and found it very frustrating and limited. Now I use Nvu

Re: Web Easy Pro memory & rich text problems

Thank you gistek. I downloaded nvu, but am lost. Don't I need to know HTML language? I like the drag-and-drop of WE. (FYI, my son is a Staff Sargeant and loves CAP.)
