A) Did you create a new database named "forum" ?
B) Did you setup the forum through their installation pages? (read the FAQ to find them) C) Is the MySQL server port 3306? (unlikely that it is something else, but worth checking if you fix the above and still can't get it going) I'm not sure what you mean by the test stuff...or why you'd be testing forum software. |

database, what database.
Your gonna have to show me everything from scratch, carsley (Chris) done mine for me. I have moved the folder directory to new-forum so the link is http://www.dj-ultra.co.uk/new-forum Sorry for being such a pain |

Why not just make it in a "forum" folder instead - it's hard for people to remember something like "/new-forum"
I was telling you that you have to CREATE a database for the forum. That is how everything is stored (users, posts, permissions, etc) |
