Scripting vs writing a program
Is scripting more like writing lines of code...I'm curious in knowing Scripting (e.g. Perl/shell, JavaScript, vbscript) and are there any links to learning scripting

They both involve lines of code. It's better to learn scripting through a book, but you can check out Dynamic Drive for some good scripts to learn from.
