Re: Uploader To My Webisite
With an ftp client, you would be able to upload any sized file that fits under your quota. If you have firefox, I recommend the add-on FireFTP.
If you would rather have a stand alone ftp client, check out CoreFTP. With ftp, the ftp hostname you need to use is most likely ftp.yourdomain.com. The username and password are most likely what you use to login to the site editor.

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
@ Jaymie1989: just make a link. For example a.pdf-file:
<a href="folder/file.pdf target="blanc">FILE.PDF</a> Left clicking and the file opens and people can save or by right clicking the mouse people can save the file right away.

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
It's the path in your hosting account used with FTP.
Example: - You upload file index.html to directory root/http/personal/(index.html) using FTP. - The url link will be "http://www.yoursite.com/personal/index.html". * *[If you use an FTP account within your account it may be something like this:."http://www.yoursite.com/ ~ftpaccount" or similar].

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
Yea I have tryed that im using Core FTP when i have uploaded a file it comes up with the file name e.g. Htdocs/docsAdobe_Reader_US.exe Which is what it is, now when i put the link on my website there is no file, Its not in my sitewizard file manager i put it where all the other files that i upload goes. I have also tryed putting my website first e.g. Http://Www.DJ-Ultra.co.uk/Htdocs/doc..._Reader_US.exe still nothing.

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
Hmm don't have experience with CoreFTP or Streamline, hopefully someone can get it straightened out.
On a note. I briefly looked at your site. With your email addresses though, I would recommend converting your email coding. This is used to avoid spam, bots scan websites looking for open email addys. I noticed the little source code 'hide' too. Nice job and good luck.

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
@ Jaymie1989: Let's do a practical test that should work.
Create a new folder on your desktop called 'toclick'. Open Word, open a new document and type in: My clickable link works! Save the file as click.doc in the toclick folder. Open CoreFTP, and transfer the folder the folder toclick from your desktop to your site. Now create a link on your page <a href="../toclick/click.doc" target="_blank">If I click here a Word file open</a>. upload it with CoreFTP. Close CoreFTP and check what happens if you now go to your webpage and click the link. Does the Word open?

Re: Uploader To My Webisite
Quote:
If you use a wysiwyg html editor, go into the split or code view and paste that coded text into it and you are done. Once you go back to your design view or view the webpage from the web it will show as name@domain.com but the source code will reveal nothing to the robots. This will also make it so that email address is not clickable.
