Data not getting updated in a SQL Server 2000 database in an ASP.Net application

Hi
I have a peculiar problem
I have a web application hosted on a web server and a database with SQL Server 2000. With this application all are able to insert and update data

One person is having a problem. She is able to insert data but not update the data. This is happening on her machine. However when she logs on in her partners machine and access this site she is able to both insert and update data.

We tried uninstalling and installing IE 6.0.28 SP1 and tried. But no luck. We tried rebooting her machine and trying out afterwards. No luck.

Both the client machines are running Windows 2000 Professional. The applications is a ASP.Net vb web application running on IIS 6 with Windows 2003 Os. The insert and update logic is in a stored procedure.

No other person is having this problem. The web site has about 1000 odd users.

Would appreciate your help.

Re: Data not getting updated in a SQL Server 2000 database in an ASP.Net application

Has the client machine been updated recently? I'm unfamiliar with if MS is still providing updates for 2000. Also, what about .Net framework on the clients machine? Is this needed? I'm not up to speed on ASP.NET so I'm not sure what it requires, but obviously it's something isolated to just that one machine.

Re: Data not getting updated in a SQL Server 2000 database in an ASP.Net application

Hi
Thanks for your suggestion which made us look at the operating system level for this problem. The problem is solved now. The issue was a vb script function was called in a java script and threw an error. The reason for this error was that the vbscript.dll was corrupted. We copied it newly and re registered it again. BOOOM!!!! Everything works fine now.
Thanks
