hi guys

I know many things in computers except making web sites

, so from now on im gonna have some info about making websites. so if you are patient enough to help me, i would be pleased and thankful. Could you please tell me what are the first steps to know before making a website, im just gonna try to make a simple website, and i dont know how to upload it so everyone can see my web site, and all i want to know for now is the basics of making a website.

i really appreciate any help.

Web design, like other professions, take times and effort but to the point:

The first thing you should do is learn HTML. It is the basics of all coding. While programs such as Dreamweaver can automatically code this the best option would be to experiment with notepad first.

There are numerous tutorials available on the internet and a quick google search should reveal some. I remember the 'Hello World' always is a popular one to begin with.

For us to be able to view the site, you will need to privately host the site or through a host. The domain is then specified. Apart from that, I suggest learn the languages in the following order:

HTML
CSS
JAVASCRIPT
Programming - PHP, ASP etc.
Variation - XHTML etc.

That's a rough outline but the more you know the better

ok thanx man, i guess im jusy gonna google it. and i know that will take too much time especially for me, but i just want to learn it step by step, and i've got some knowledge about programming.

I your serious about web design, I recomend getting 'Html 4 for dummies'. It covers alot of topics besides html including CSS and some JS

If your still in school, you could join a webdesign elective, that's how I got started.

That's a great web. It is always helping me. Start from clicking on "html" and learning everything from top to bottom. If you learn most of that, it will be more then enough to make a decent web.

you can make a simple webpage by using a publisher programme, but you need to know your upload address.
