[Javascript] Print confirmation

Hello!

How could I figure out if page was successfully printed, i.e. no paper out or something similar? Checking if there is no printer jobs anymore would be fine, but I don't know if that is possible. Any other idea maybe?

Thank you very much for your help!

My System

Re: [Javascript] Print confirmation

I've never come across any script that could do that. I'll search around, but I'm almost positive that isn't possible.

Re: [Javascript] Print confirmation

There are some AciveX controls that have this capabilities.

It is not intended for general use, but for a particular application, so even ActiveX would be fine. I'm forced not to use Internet Explorer, because I have some issues with Ajax and Flash there. So I cannot use ActiveX. Actually I tried with Mozilla ActiveX plugin but it doesn't work good. It seems it is a little outdated.

Re: [Javascript] Print confirmation

Sorry Tiansen. I have never heard or even see a script that resembles the task you are asking for.

I will have a look around but don't get your hopes up. Is there any particular reason you need a script like this?

Re: [Javascript] Print confirmation

Yes, it is a particular reason. I must know that document was printed, because this is a part of a larger system that picks up a document and does something with it. But OK, I already managed the task with an external C++ program. It seems that really cannot be done with Javascript. Thank you anyway!

My knowledge with C++ is rather limited. Any chance of posting the name of that program here so others may be able to refer to it?

I would love to do that, but I wrote that program myself . And it does many more things, not just printer checking, so it isn't some simple program that others can benefit from.
