VBScript Question

When writing a code, does it matter if using parentheses(aside from using functions). Example:

Code:

document.write ("hello world!")

or

Code:

document.write "hello world!"

Is one of those ways a better way to do it, or it doesn't matter?

I don't have too much experience with VBScript, but I'm almost positive you should use the first example you provided. The bottom one may still work, but it isn't proper syntax.

Well JavaScript uses parentheses to do that, and JavaScript will not even run the function if you try to not use parentheses. However, I am not sure with VBScript. I do agree with you, though, that it makes sense for parentheses to be proper syntax.

Yea, I also came to that conclusion considering in Visual Basic, you need the parenthesis.

Not a VBScript guru but I strongly recommend using parantheses. Despite both occasionally having same effect. It won't hurt to add them to as they can be very helpful when deciphering all those bugs.
