ridiculously simple problem which im sure could be easily answered
hmm, i'm almost ashamed to ask for a solution to this, but never mind.
i have created a website using a wysiwyg website creation program as i am yet to master html. i published the files to a folder on my computer, then uploaded them to my hosting service (this included all of the image files required). when i went to test the website, no images appeared, and i wondered if anyone could tell me why and/or give me a solution. thanks everyone |

You might not have specified the right path. If you put the picture on your website when you were making it and say, it was in 'images' folder on your computer. If on your actual website, the photo is actually in say the 'photos' folder, it won't work. You might also have different filenames. Hope that was clear.

The mailman is probably correct. If you created the original content on your own computer using a wysiwyg editor, the images will look like this
C:/My Documents/images/my_image.jpg When you go to upload the content you need that line to either use an absolute or relative path such as /images/my_image.jpg or http://www.mysite.com/images/my_image.jgp |

sometimes you have to play a little bit with the extention of the file, means
i had the same problem with my website, let say you have foto.jpg, change it in foto.jpeg, i solved my problem like that, and ofcourse, did you upload the pictures as well. hope this helped incase you did not find an answer yet |
