any suggestions?
I have been given the unenviable task of cataloging ,into some format, all the books and journal articles I can find on a specific topic. I anticipate finding thousands of these titles and I need to find out what is the best way to catalog all these titles in a way that will be easy to present to others. Think of it as the world's longest bibliography. Is this best done in a database form (which I am completely unfamiliar with) or is there a better suggestion?
Ideally, I would like to have a way to simply cut and paste the bibliographical info from the web into the new format. Is MS Word too simple an answer? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

You want this collection online, correct?
If so, then you can use something called a SQL database. SQL is a database language which makes it easy for you to store information online. You can also use something called PHP to display all of the books. If not, I reccomend using microsoft excel. I recommend excel because of its easy-to-use functions and its ability to help you organize data. Good luck!
