Advertise!!!

Hello,

When I click some webpages that I wanted to surf, it does not open that page but it opens some else page,...I guess advertise page,...

I have observed couple of times that when I click some mobile pictures on certain website, some other companies web page opens,...

Can someone let me know what excatly it is and how do they do that,....

Is that some kind of codes they generate or a virus or a paid advertisers!!!

Actually I think it might just be advertising. I've seen it like in Google an exact match to your search query comes up, but it just a page full of ads and links to sponsors. Also I've seen pages that have links, and when you hover your mouse pointer over them an ad pops up over the link.
