Password protecting a webpage

Hi everyone,

Could you please tell me how I can password protect a certain page of my website created with MS Frontpage 2003 so that only visitors who know the password can log in? I have a 1and1 linux package account, it is possible to do so using the protected directories method, but this has proved to be terribly difficult and time consuming as well. I would be grateful for your help

Try this out: http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/password/

It is editing the file named ".htaccess" in your website's main directory.

I learned from the MS Frontpage team how to password protect a website.
It works.
