Tables
i was wondering if there was a way to make a table with a solid background of 1 pixel?
i tried to do it but it doesnt seem to want to fit properly i get something bigger than one pixel and a space between that cell and the the next table cell im trying to make it something like 1px - 10 px - 1px and ideas or is it even possible to do this without the space in it and make it a true 1 pixel.. |

Is there a particular reason you need to do this...because it could be achieved by other means. Otherwise its a simple CSS job.

For future reference:
cell padding - space in pixels from the center of the table cell cell spacing - space in pixels between cells in a table border - self explanitory; in pixels The style attribute is not required but you can keep it there. Hope this helps you.

ok so i put it all together and have been playing with it for a while...sent it through a validation site to see if all my tags have openings and closing and i didnt catch anything to big everything seems fine but im having the problem i was talking about before with the table being 1 row and 3 colums with a set up of
1 px - 13 px - 1px the line of code given help make the cells smaller but even me defining the table size it still doesnt match up to the size given any ideas on why this is happening? http://eveotto.com/KK.gif thanks again...probably something quick to find but not for me im lost...if i set it at 50px instead of 13...anywhere from say 45 plus pxs will make the cell to big for what it should fit...ive tried a lot of different things anyone else got any other ideas though? also is there a way to keep the menu from spacing like that? |

Don't add a border, it breaks up the layout.

You're getting close! I'll take a look at it a bit later.

ummm still having minor problems though check it out http://eveotto.com/treyeme.html i was wondering if anyone had any ideas to give the site a lil better of a look it looks kind of plain to me....:-\ everything is set up just needs to be pushed together really and i need to figure out why the one table stretches near the credit cards but the other ones do not Last edited by TreyeMe; 09-20-2006 at 06:59 PM. |
