did you want an animated drop down menu that slides or fades or just a menu that is there when moused over or clicked and gone when moused out or clicked again?

Actually either is good.
Prefer One that when moused over or clicked and gone when moused out or clicked again

But I am a novice at this ! I did the code myself by experimenting. Even got it Validated CSS and Xhtml

Would like to avoid it, yes

I have purchased a book (HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS, 2nd Edition)

I am going to try columns but Dropdowns still would look nice, I think !!
