Adobe Illustrator CS2 loading probs

Hi All,
Just installed Illustrator cs2...everything seems to go well untill I tried to open the program....runs through intaiilaztion process good...actually opens for about 3 seconds than proof its gone!!! It won't stay open.

Fixes I have tried....and didn't work.
Installed , removed all from pc. (add/remove prgram and anything that was left in the search) re-installed and same thing happens...workking on fresh boot. Enough Ram 512mb and plenty room on hard drive.

Note:did use tryout version....and then removed to install full version. Yes I have all the key codes.

Any help would be grreatly appreciated>>THANKS

i had a similar problem with 3d studio. it was running on a pc and then it stopped. of course the user said they did nothing to it. it would go through the startup process and then poof - gone just as it was about to begin. i ran registry mechanic on the pc and it corrected the problem.
