Hi, a family member was asking about open-source Photoshop program? Please help :)

Hey everyone

A family member with a small business was asking about an open-source program similar to Photoshop, they could use to spruce up their company logo... I pointed them towards GIMP, because that was all I knew of - but I might be wrong, or missing a better alternative someone here might know about.

Please help with any tips or advice... I remember there is a company that makes all open-source software, like Office, Excel etc clones. Would that be useful here?
