HELP!!!! 789 MB m2ts file to 150MB
Please help me as fast as you can. I have to upload a video file in an hour and it is too big. My file is m2ts codec, it is 789MB big, and I can only upload 150MB file. Is there any way I can do this without editing software. It has to remain a video file, but I it does not have to be HD quality.
I'm a girl so you have to explain it to me like I'm an idiot. Last edited by AuroraBorealis; 10-07-2009 at 02:56 PM. |

Re: 789 MB m2ts file to 150MB
download and install Auto Gordian Knot from the link in my signature area. Then open your file in it and choose the options - you can probably leave the Advanced settings alone unless you want to change the pixel dimensions to bring the display size down.
On the LHS of the AGK window is the area where you can choose the way it will compress your file - * predefined is for common CD or DVD sizes * custom allows you to choose the size - note well that if you choose 150MB there is no guarantee that the file will end up exactly 150MB, it may go over a little or under a little. Best bet for you would be to choose 120MB or so, that way you can be fairly certain it will fit under the max size you want to achieve ![]() * Target quality allows you to choose a percentage to control compression - I ususally use 60-70% depending on how small I want the file You will not notice huge difference in quality if you use these settings but will have the file size anything up to ten times smaller. Once you have selected all that click on Add job then start You will probably get a GNU window come up after the software has started asking you to accept terms say OK and same to any other windows that pop up. Only takes 2-3 minutes to complete usually. Only problem might be the m2ts file format - not sure if AGK accepts it. If so get a converter like Prism and convert file first.
