audio doesn't load

Moved to new thread. Re: No sound in my clips in Sony Vegas

I am having this same problem with my Aiptek. The audio doesn't load in Windows Media player or Vegas. I installed the "HD decoder" from the CD that came with the camera.

@zuluclayman: I can hear the audio in VLC mediaplayer, but Vegas just shows a flat line for the audio track.

I think I just need to find the right codec.

For a thread this old, you should probably have started your own instead of bumping it.
Anyway, which version of Vegas are you using? Vegas seems strongly dependent upon built-in plugins to decode things properly. In this thread you can see that a simple update from version 6.0a to 6.0d is enough to enable AC-3 decoding (I'm aware your version may not be the same, and that you're using AAC instead of AC-3).
