Zapf Dingbats in CS3

Hey everyone!

I recently tried to use Zapf Dingbats font in InDesign CS3, when I realized that the font had been deleted from my fonts list. I can't find it anywhere. My assistant still has the font on her older computer with CS2 -- is it possible that the font got deleted when I upgraded to CS3??

Any ideas on how to get it back??

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to TSF

If your assistant has the font, copy it from her Windows\Fonts folder over to your computer, then go to Control Panel > Fonts and click File > Install New Font. Navigate to the folder and select Zapf Dingbats, then click OK to install.

Re: Zapf Dingbats in CS3

Zapf Dingbats is not in the "Fonts Folder" of either computer. Not even my assistant's although she does have use of the font in all of her Office programs, and CS2.

Is there somewhere else it can be located?

Re: Zapf Dingbats in CS3

Run a search for Zapf on your assistant's computer. If it's not in the Windows\Fonts folder then it hasn't been installed correctly. It's probably in the MS Office or CS2 folders if it's only available for use by those programs.
