Sony Vegas 8 Pro Editing Help PLEASEE
Hi all,
I'm just now starting with video production/editing (skateboarding) and I recall seeing an effect in a video that made the video seem to "pulse" and kinda bounce out a little bit. It was pretty cool, and I haven't been able to figure out how to do it, nor have i found the video that I watched, but I found one like it. I edited everything out of the video except the "pulse" part and a little bit around it so you get the idea of what its doing. It is very quick so you have to look close, but its at the part where he says "BOOM" Can someone tell me how to do this? It would be greatly appreciated. Here are the video's. I forgot to cut out the blank parts at the end. Sorry, but just watch the first few seconds till it goes black, then restart it if you have to. I just dont have time to cut the blank right now. This one is kinda slow to load and freezes up in the middle sometimes but is bigger and clearer: YouTube - Help This one is smaller and plays through pretty well: http://s611.photobucket.com/albums/t...t=Untitled.flv Again, any help at figuring out what makes this little bump/pulse thing will be greatly appreciated. I really wanna add this into some videos.. thanks, Steve-O |

Re: Sony Vegas 8 Pro Editing Help PLEASEE
You can use a keyframed zoom to achieve something like this - split the clip where you want the zoom to start and again where you want it to end, about midway in the split clip place a keyframe and adjust the zoom of the clip to how far zoomed in you want it to be at its maximum. When played Vegas will automatically make that new clip zoom in and out smoothly. There is a tutorial or two on YouTube - Pan / Zoom tutorial :: sony vegas (look in Related videos panel - lots there) for keyframing and zooming just do a search - also there is this one
There may be an effect that you can add - look in that section of Vegas - I don't use Vegas, I use Adobe Premiere Elements and there is a couple of effects similar to this - Earthquake shakes the image etc. Hope this helps

Re: Sony Vegas 8 Pro Editing Help PLEASEE
Thanks :)
I'll check it out. I also have Adobe Premiere, but mine is Pro CS4. Which do you find to be a better program to use? I'm trying to choose which to use for my main editing program. |
