Timeline problem on movie maker

Hi there, I'm new so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I was wondering if anyone can help me.

I have movie maker 2.6 on vista.

I've made my movie and it's complete. I only have one problem.

I cant seem, for whatever reason, to shorten the extra time left on the timeline.

There is ten minutes remaining at the end of my movie on my timeline and I want to get rid of it.

Do you know how? Any help would be great, thank you.

Re: Timeline problem on movie maker

Hi Selina, welcome to TSF

In the preview window, hit the Play button, then Pause and move the position indicator to where you want the movie to stop playing. Press the Split Clip button (Ctrl-L) at this position.

In the timeline, highlight the section after the split, and hit delete.

When you're happy with the results, go to File > Save Project (Ctrl-S) to save your work in case you want to come back and re-edit at a later date, then File > Save Movie File (Ctrl-P) to save the final video.
