Cry File Extensions

question is this, I got questioned at work for accessing adult material on a work computer. Supposedly one image titled something like this
wbk3[9834].tmp.jpg
was found on my computer. I use my computer for work and have no need to view that stuff at work. So what does this file name mean? was it a temporary file? how did it get there? does the wording and brackets mean anything?
Can someone please give me some info on this?

Re: File Extensions

Looks to me like a .jpg, which is typical for pictures, and the tmp would
mean its a temp file. The first three letters is some sort of abbreviation
as to what the photo's name is, or was. Anyones guess..

Re: File Extensions

so was there anyway for that file to get there without my knowing it? so the wbk3 was the file name, and the numbers in the brackets are a filing system in a temp area? I didn't put it there so I'm just trying to over analyze the file name to the fullest. I want to know how it got there.

Re: File Extensions

what folder was the file located in? Generally I would not worry about it. Whether or not you visit a page, sometimes there are ads in pages that are embedded from other sites. Ads can be jpg files.

Re: File Extensions

not sure what folder it was in. But what you're saying sounds about right. I appreciate the input.
