video compression
Hello everyone!
I have used Fraps to record some ingame footage from WoW (world of warcraft) at 1680*1050. Fraps leaves an uncompressed file at 1GB after 30 secs of recording. I compared a few other WoW videos, they manage to get down to around 25MB/min. Ofcourse with a lower resolution than mine. I have played around with virtualdub, but no matter what compressing format i choosed and lowered resolution i only got around the double file size and an annoing blurr added to the video compared with the other wow videos. I need some help/tips on how to compress this video to get it to that small size, and most importantly without any blurr. Thankful for any help

Re: video compression
try auto gordian knot (link in my signature area) - its freeware and uses the xVid codec, has a number options for setting compression rates and works well for me.
I find if I use the quality percentage setting at about 50-60% (depends on video content - taste and try best method) I can get things down to roughly 10-20% of their original file size without too much loss of quality.
