Imagemixer 3 for Panasonic - video/audio synch problem

I have a Panasonic SDR-H200 (owned by a non-profit I volunteer for) for a little over a year. I shoot videos of speaker programs and oral histories. I have used only the Imagemixer 3 that came with the camcorder and although difficult to use, my results have been satisfactory until recently.

The last 2 projects result in DVDs where the audio slightly lags the video, i.e. they are out of sync. The component MOVnnn.mpg files on my computer (resulting from importing from the camera) have the audio and video in sync but the combined mpg file and then the DVD that is written have the sync problem.

PLEASE HELP! Also, I'd like any suggestions for an alternate video editing program that I could use once I import files using Imagemixer 3. I have tried Windows Movie Maker but it doesn't work at all (forget error messages).

Bernie
