Re: video clip editing help needed

If you're on windows you can use Movie Maker, it's not the best(nor anywhere near) but it's simple to use and does the things you need. It should be under Accessories in the start menu.

Cheers,
Jamey

Re: video clip editing help needed

for more complex effects than Windows MovieMaker you will need to pay for some software - have a look at these:
Sony Vegas movie studio
Adobe Premiere Elements 7
The Sony one is a step up from MovieMaker - allows multiple video audio tracks, has a number of effects and transitions etc. Check out the Platinum version and comparison chart while you are there
Adobe's Premiere Elements while more expensive has more capabilities than the lower end Sony packages ( Sony's "cheapies" only allow for 4 video and audio tracks while Premiere Elements has 99 audio and 99 video tracks available)
PS: if you decide to go with Adobe - buy it via their website's "download" option and you will save quite a bit - I bought Elements 7 recently for $AU119 from the site and if I bought it from shops it would have been $AU159
