Newbie Video Editing/Rendering Question
Hello there -
I'm fairly new to video editing for elearning development. Is there ONE product on the market that will allow you to edit video and then export as .flv or .swf all within the same app? I've found video editing software, and I've found Flash convertion software - but not one app that can do both. All suggestions appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Newbie Video Editing/Rendering Question
Most of the products I'm familiar with only allow importing of flash formats not exporting.
You can bring video into Adobe Flash (ex macromedia Flash) and export it as .flv or .swf but it's editing capabilities are not as good as a dedicated video editing program like Premiere or Vegas. You may have to be content to edit in a good editing program and the convert to .swf or .flv using a converter - many video enthusiasts these days (myself included) edit in one program that does that really well and then compress in another that does that well to achieve the sort of file size they want. It all depends on the sort of media you are going to be using in your projects - if there is a little bit of video footage and then lots of graphics and animations - Flash is the way to go. If it is almost exclusively video footage then you are going to need a dedicated video editing suite like Vegas or Premiere (both of which now have a cheaper version) hope this helps
