FIRST 3Ds Max Problem

Ok, I'm going to be participating in the FIRST Robotics animation contest for my team (Team 1189 Gearheads). I was allowed access by my mentor to download 3Ds Max from the FIRST website, and I used the "AutoDesk FIRSTbase FRC Download Tool" to download the setup, and install. When finished installing, I can't find any way to open the program! It doesn't show up on the desktop, program list, or in Program Files. I've reinstalled multiple times also.

Any ideas?

Re: FIRST 3Ds Max Problem

so essentially you are looking for the installation of 3ds max? i've had to go read about FIRST, but i do not know what you downloaded from that website. can you tell me how big was the setup file?

life is stressful enough, so i don't agree with FIRST when they state this

Re: FIRST 3Ds Max Problem

Well, basically, i just log in at autodesk.firstbase.com, click on my software downloads, and then click "download" on "Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 32-Bit (English) (568 MB)".

From there, the download opens with the tool, and installs from thereafter.

Re: FIRST 3Ds Max Problem

that download is large enough to install max. since there is nothing new anywhere obvious, i'd look in program files and select view>details the sort by last modified. see what's new on the top/bottom in windows. can your mentor not shed any light on the installation of max from their download?
