CS2 Corrupted files

I have had this problem a few times now... I create a file, everything seems fine, close it and the next time I open it I get the following error message:

Can't open the illustration. The illustration does not have the correct number of opperands for the operator.

Offending operator: "C"

Then when I open the file mast of my work is gone! This is very frustrating... can anyone help? Is there any way to make this stop?!?

Re: CS2 Corrupted files

Which program? (CS2 in the version number for several Adobe programs)
Do you do save or save as?
Do you have any pop-up message when you save?
Is the extension on the file correct?
