I am having some problems with my Photoshop I upgraded from CS2 to CS3 and have had it a while now. I worked on it this morning actually and I shut my computer down before I left and nothing had been wrong with it then. When I came back I booted it back up tried to re opened the PDS file I was working on and it says "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered" I have no clue what this means or what to do. Any help or advice would be great.

Re: I need some help with Photoshop CS3 please
this error generally means the file is corrupted. something interrupted the save or possibly a fault on the HD. i'm not really sure you can do anything with that file.

Well I downloaded a program called PSD recovery I think it was and it salvaged most of it but now my problem is every piece of it is in individual PSD files in a folder and I don't know how to make them all one PSD file again.

Is your backup also corrupt?
Is each of the new PSDs an intact layer or just a fragment of the image? Can you import them all into a new image and edit?

All the PSD files are editable but the color layers are not matching up. The line art layer looks horrible then I have a bunch of pictures that are black outlined in white. I'm not sure how to show you what I'm talking about though. It's just confusing to me and I really didn't want to have to redo the clothes layers and the eye and all of that. The backup was not corrupt but it was a JPEG file and so all the PSD files saved on that are one solid picture instead of many layers. So anything I want to change that was already done I have to redo.
