[Solved] Illustrator vs. Photoshop Question ???????

Hello, I am a student and use Photoshop fairly often, but I am aware of Photoshop's "companion" software Illustrator. My question is, what are the advantages of using Illustrator etc..? What does this program do that PS doesnt?? thank you.
