Pinnacle Studio 11 - Problem when trying to capture from DVD's...

This is my first post on this site, so firstly hello everyone

Now onto my problem, I have the Pinnacle Studio 11 software so that I can record games from my Xbox 360. This works fine. However, I wanted to record something from a DVD so I put it in my Xbox 360 so that I could record it. But when trying to record from this DVD in the top left corner there were some 'white lines' as if I had a prob with one of my connections.

A better way of explaining this is showing you:-

Here is a game I recorded:

Here is a DVD i recorded:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Biz3sfhqWY

Notice on the DVD recording the white lines in the top left corner? I know the DVD recording is recorded in 16:9 but the game is 4:3 but the lines even appeared when recorded in 4:3. I have even linked my DVD player up to my laptop and tried recording the DVD to see if it was the Xbox causing the prob, but the same thing happened.

Any ideas?

Thanks for listening

John
