Having no success applying MP3 to F8 ...
Ok, I know this is utterly ridiculous, but for reasons I can't explain, I'm not having any success applying a simple MP3 file I created to my Flash 8 Movie.
I was hoping to provide a few screen shots of what I see but can't. Anyway, within F8 > File> Import ; the only Options are : Import to Stage (which wouldn't apply to sound) Import to Library (which is what I ultimately want but I get a Warning saying "One or More Files not Imported because there was a problem reading them") Open External Library (Well hell that sure doesn't sound like what I want) Import Video (Which of course an MP3 is not a video) * Every option I tried gives me the same Warning Message regarding F8 not being able to read the files. So how do you embed simple mp3 files into your movie?

"One or More Files not Imported because there was a problem reading them"
What are the MP3's properties? Anything unusual that Flash might not be able to handle? (bitrate, size, CBR/VBR, mono/stereo, etc)

Re: Having no success applying MP3 to F8 ...
I tried Importing this File (Sound) I wrote especially for my site. I kept getting the same Alert for this file which I converted to mp3 in order to compact the size.
This Dog just won't hunt .. but I just loaded a different song also converted to mp3 and it worked. Problem is it's not the song I wanted for my Main Page. Ok so I found a song that will work for my plans but it's in CDA format. What do you or anyone know about these CDA to MP3 Converters all over the Net as Freeware ? One last thing if I may, all I'm trying to accomplish here is load a song I wrote onto my Intro Page in a streaming mode (looped). I actually extracted only 16 measures of this tune for this purpose. And <--Big And, I was hoping to have a cool looking EQ Graph following the music as it played but all I can find are these Play Boxes for Embed. I did find some cheezy looking graphs on the Flash Forum that guys created which were simply motion tweens moving up & down. So I'm still on the hunt for that.

Is this script the kind of graphic equalizer you're looking for? http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial...Equalizer/7487
SUPER is one of the best freeware media converters. It doesn't mention cda in its features list, but might be worth trying. For any other converters you find online, check with Site Advisor to see if the site is safe to download from as these types of programs can sometimes contain malware.
