Photo editor which uses OpenGL
Hi,
I'm looking for a photo editing application similar to Adobe Photoshop, PiXEL or GIMP, which uses OpenGL, 3D hardware rendering to manipulate (or at least display) pictures instead of wasting CPU performance like the apps do mentioned earlier. It doesn't have to be as complex as the examples above, but should be able to do basic image manipulations (e.g. resizing, cloning, color corrections, effects, etc.) I wonder why all photo editors should waste CPU performance for image processing when OpenGL is fairly good enough to do the thing (we just have to see a standard 3D game if we're skeptic), maybe to force us to buy much faster machines all the time and consume more power? Okay I hereby stop being a conspiracy theorist:). Thanks in advance Zooya Last edited by Zooya; 08-30-2007 at 01:37 PM. |
