DVD Software Building software?

Hello. I'm needing to put together a DVD that has several different software programs, and want an interface...like once screen where you can just click on an item and its installer pops up, or click on readme and the readme pops up...
Ive seen this is most software I buy that has other stuff bundled.
Free is best but I'll pay for good software.

Thanks for any input.

Re: DVD Software Building software?

Hi Stinehart, can you give us an example of the kind of bundled software you've seen this feature in? I think I know what you're looking for but just need some more details.

Have you thought about creating a simple HTML page? You could have images for each program with links to run the programs, readme pages, information about the software, etc. And if you're any good with javascript or flash you could create an impressive looking interface.

CDMenu

CD Interface Studio

CD Front End

CD-Menu Creator

Adobe Acrobat Pro (30 day trial)

Quick Menu Builder (freeware)
Quote:
Quick Menu Builder allows you to quickly create custom CD launch menus, using a skin of your choice (image file). You can add buttons and specify an action for each. The program supports Explore folder, Execute program, Open Document, Open multimdia file, Play Sound, Link URL, E-mail and others. Once your menu is created, it will be compiled to a standalone .exe file, with an optional autorun.inf, and can be used as a launcher for a CD, or even your PC as a personal program launcher, if you prefer.
Opus Creator ..... (Evaluation version)
Quote:
Publish sophisticated multimedia presentations, interactive CD Roms for clients or colleagues. No programming knowledge required. Combine all types of multimedia resources into your application. Sound, graphics, and video files can quickly be incorporated in your project and mixed with office documents, spreadsheets or given a little panache with special effects, transitions or animated to create interactive media-rich interactive publications quicker than any other tool.
Foxit Form Designer (add-on for freeware Foxit PDF Reader)
Quote:
It enables you to add push buttons, text fields, check boxes, list boxes or radio buttons to an interactive PDF form and specify their properties. You still can use those features under evaluation mode. But evaluation marks will be added to the top-right corner of the saved pages. If you purchase the license of Foxit Form Designer, you will be able to get rid of the evaluation mark.
