The crop tool works a bit like cutting a section out. It can also be used to resize and image, like if you wanted to show an area in greater detail on the same image you're working with. To use, simply click on the region you wish to crop and drag the cursor to enlarge/shrink the selection.

First of all select the area of the image that you want to crop(to select you either use of the selection tool like the pen tool,rectangular marquee tool or other selection tools) then from the image menu select crop,thats how you crop.
