Hi please help me answer this question.
I have a projector, benq 5120 pe, it was a good price so Im not expecting the world, the picture when playing movies is quite good, gut sometimes the dark scenes are a bit lacking. Anyways I bought a upscaler, yes I know its not a denon or a really good make. But I thought it might be a good idea to upscale my movies to improve the picture just that bit more. Well when I attached it to my sons HD television it does improve the picure, not quite hd quality as some might say ( thats prob better with a good upscaler) But the problem I am having is that when going through my projector, it only seems to display the image my normal dvd player displays. The 720 resolution. I think I read that my projector upscales dvds anyway, which I didnt know. But the upscaler says it upscales to 1080i And my projector accepts 1080i but when I change the settings on the upscaler from auto to 1080i the projector wont accept the resolution, and wont display on the screen. I am sending the signal through a component leads. Any ideas where Im going wrong. I have attached some info to look at. I have a general idea but not a wizz kid like you guys. Thanks |
