Picture Motion browser not displaying pictures.

This seems like the right forum to put this. I just bought a Sony dsc-w100 camera and have gotten extremely frustrated with the software it comes with. I forget what the original program is called because I've since upgraded to what is called the "Picture Motion Browser" edition.

I've been able to upload photos onto my computer and I can see them perfectly if I navigate to My Pictures, but even after I register the folder into Picture Motion Browser they don't show up. All I get is a hourglass next to the pointer and absolutely no sign of the pictures within the program. Everything seems to be set up correctly (my brother has the same program on his laptop), but I still have this problem.

The Sony website is absolutely no help since it doesn't even list this as a potential problem. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it.
