"Windows Media Audio file" not recognized as a .WMA?
I downloaded some ringtones and they show up as "Windows Media Audio file" under the properties but when I try to load them in a ringtone convertor software as WMA file, it does not recognize it? Thanks!

does the ringtone .wma file play in windows media player? i find some wma files not playable in one media player or another, but klite (full pack) has codecs that might let you play the file.
make sure you are online when you try to play the wma file, because it might need to download a codec to do so.

It depends on the mobile you have, whether it accepts wav or Mp3. Most of the mobile accepts Mp3 format. Just play and record the wma files files in any editing and converting software, suggests FlexiMusic Wave Editor. Directly can't read WMA file in FlexiMusic Wave Editor, so play and record the Wma file in the software and then using the "Save As" command, convert and save the Wma file as Mp3 or wav file format. Then upload the saved file format as ring tones in your mobile.
