DVD Movie to avi, divx, or mpeg format

I have a dvd movie file that i need to switch to avi, divx, mp3, mpeg, or whatever so i can use it on ulead videostudio at my dad's office. If anyone has a program to do this please help.

when i choose to explore the dvd the only folder in it is VIDEO_TS then i took out the biggest file which is named VTS_01_1. hope that helps people help me

You need to pay for them, and they take the amount of time as the length of the DVD. You need ripping/decrepting software. A lot easier if you have one which does it all. I use Im Too DVD ripper platium, which I got off eBay for £3.50, (About $6.50-7.). If you are want to buy that, I would recomend you get it off eBay, as otherwise, you would have to pay £40! ($70-80.)

thanks for the help im gonna search for some free versions of good software like the dvd ripper platium. If i cant find anything ill purchase somethin because ill be needing it for this coming pulling season.

I searched long and hard to find a free version, but failed. So I brought some software, which I thought would work, but it was crap, so I brought DVD ripper platium, and found it was great.
