Need Adobe Premiere 6.5 Help!

I have a two hour and ten minute video on my NLE system and need to copy this to a DVD burner. Should I create a file and copy the file over and if so, how do I do this? Any help would be really great!

Is it a hardware NLE system or software like Premiere?

If it's hardware, you'll need to transfer it to your computer through a video capture card and save it as MPEG, then use something like Nero to convert it to VOB so it can be played on a DVD player.

If it's software, what format is the video in at the moment?

Hi, and welcome to TSF!

A few questions. What format is this file in? Will you need to play it on a stand alone DVD player?

I have Nero to burn to CD and I guess it does DVD too. I just bought the Nero 7.0 Ultra edition upgrade.
Thanks,

I don't do much video editing or DVD burning, but basically I think you need to convert the AVI into VOB format so it can be played on standalone DVD players. Or you can leave it as AVI and burn it to DVD as data, but this means it can only be viewed on a computer using a media player.

DVD Santa is the easiest software for converting and burning. You can download a trial version to see if it will work with your file.

I haven't used Nero, but I have used CyberLink's Power Producer software and it converts on the fly. As long as the file is using a compressor that your PC can understand (ie. one you have codecs for) then it's pretty simple from there.

your Ner0 7 should have nero vision express, this is the program that should be able to convert your avi to dvd. i think it is list under the programs/nero/digital . open it up click on add then point it to your file and follow the promps and it will convert and burn once it is done. You also have the options to create chapters and such
