After Effects Pro OR Standard?

Anyone know the difference between After Effects Pro version and the standard version? What more do you get for the pro version?
I am simply trying to touch up some film footage as well as design moving logos, possibly working with fog animation.

There is a school of thought that says 'Plugins are no substitute for Talent' just an idea, not judging you :p
