Omg!!
i just got a new video camra and i got some footage i was planing on editing with adobe premeir. problem is i cant get it on the computer. i hooked up the fire wire with the computer and camra off. i then turnd both on the only way i know how to capture is in windows movie maker then export it so i went there and went to capture, (i had the camra in play mode.) it says there is no device to capture from. so i went to add new hardware i added capturing device still nothing. any help would be apreciated thanks in advanced

premier has a capture feature and should get ur files. make sure u have installed the cameras software first. then go to premier and go to capture and see if source ( camera) is showing up

If you're using Windows XP you can use Windows Movie Maker to easily capture the video. That's what I do and then save it uncompressed (to the tune of 13GB/hr) and edit it with other software.

well Premiere has its own capture feature just as zuluclayman said. but you need to make sure you have the drivers for your camera installed. Then make sure you have premiere set to NTSC and capture away! its not really hard with premiere since it pretty much autodetects any camera connected to the computer. and since you have it captured there.. its added to the project and you just edit away!
