User preference settings

Hi,

Suddenly the delete key on my keyboard no longer deletes and the right click menu no longer allows me to select properties. Also when I select an object the objects lineweight and layer properties do not flash up in the layers toolbar and now the current layer and current settings remain.
What is going on? Have I unknowingly reset something?
Cheers!

the delete key should erase objects - unless they are on a locked layer, but it will state that on the command line. try typing in 'erase' (or just 'e') and see if you can delete objects.

right click can be customized by going tools>options (type 'op' on the command line) and selecting the 'user preferences' tab. on the top left are the options to utilise the right click options.

when you select objects and their properties don't show on the layers toolbar - the only thing i can think of is that their properties match the current layer and linetype? that one is a bit strange. post back to see if you can get any of these working.
