hope this is in the right place,
how can i upload my own avatar to display next to my name
ive tried every-thing

That is a right that you have to earn. If you just make the occasional question / answer then when you reach the 500 post mark, I believe that you are able to choose a "custom" avatar. If you are quite active plus accurate in your posts whilst helping others, you might get taken on to a team, in which case you get the privelidge of assigning your own avatar. Otherwise I believe the only other way is to make a donation to TSF ...
It's all the in forum rules.
