Why do you do it?
I do graphics design and 3D work because I can't draw my way out of a paper bag. When Toy Story came out I was simply blown away by the idea of an entire movie being made without a single frame of cel animation. After seeing that I decided that I want to make something that's that revolutionary. I want to be part of the new wave of art creation.

i've always been interested in 3d graphics, but never had any money for easy to use apps (like moray, a gui for pov-ray), or been able to figure out how to "program" scenes with text on paper. then when i found daz|studio, i started messing with 3d again. now i need to find something that will allow me to make custom poser objects so that i can do a short animation that i have floating around in my head.

i used to enjoy drawing objects in perspective (not sketching, but technically) and casting shadows and shaded areas on them. by chance i did a course on autocad and quickly found 3D cad inspiring. i got employment doing 3D cad and bought Quake2, which inspired me to get into 3d modelling even more. i got into customizing autocad and rendering, then onto 3d studio with the company i worked for. i've changed jobs a couple of times and improved my ability of the software i use, but i'm doing the same thing for 10 years now i still enjoy it.
