Clemens

i just watched the hearings with Clemens and the House.
i have to say that i am now embarrassed being a registered Republican.
Do all politicians have to be so damn partisan on every subject?
No wonder the government is in constant gridlock.

I was hoping Mitt Romany would do better, he was bi partisan in Mass. and worked out many good things , and got rid their huge deficient up there.

Juice Head Clemens must have passed out an awful lot of bats and balls to these knuckleheads beforehand.

Re: Clemens

lets see this pic of him at conseco's party that the daily news supposedly has.
he was asked numerous times, and reminded that he was under oath, and yet he denies being there, but now, he might have come later in the day of the party, and his wife might have been alone with macnajerk, bent over, getting a juice shot
in the bed room.

Re: Clemens

I don't think Andy Pettitte would lie about this... esp after he was willing to come out and admit that he did use HGH. So, in my opinion, Andy having nothing to gain, I think Clemens did use.

Re: Clemens

I think he's guilty, but half of baseball is or was on the juice. Personally I think we're wasting taxpayer dollars on all this BS. There are more important issues facing this country than whether or not a bunch of over paid athletes are on steroids.

Re: Clemens

I think it's a waste if nothing is going to be done about it other than the "Gentlemen" getting some autographs! But most of this is considered illegal activity (at least the abuse of steroids is)... and it concerns me for the youth too. So if nothing is going to be pursued about the use in the past, stiffer testing and penalties need to be put in place!

Illegal yes, but that's a matter for the Execute and Judicial branches or the Government, not the Legislative branch.

Why aren't they questioning body builders, Pro wrestlers, Lance Armstong (accused of doping), of NFLers that get suspended for violation of the substance abuse policy? For that matter, how about people that fail random drug tests or pre-employment drugs screens? They are doing illegal things also. Where does it end?

I agree that steroid use sets a bad example for our kids, and those who use are cheaters, but it's not an issue for Congress. It's a job for the DEA, Law Enforcement agencies, and the Judicial system.
