80% of U.S. ports already foreign owned

Quote:
Asked if it was feasible for the relatively small U.S. ports industry to take over management of terminals that are currently foreign-owned - a position favored by Hillary Clinton and other port security critics - Peter Tirschwell, publisher of the Journal of Commerce, said no.

"It would be an extraordinary upheaval," he told NPR. "So large as to be difficult to even contemplate it."

We spend more on Iraq in a week than ports in a year.

Feel safer?

Don't worry, Spiderman will personaly guard our ports .

So Hillary is against the port deal and Bill is not only for it but advising the UAE. Nothing like playing both sides of the fence.

If you read the article, it says he advised them to accept and support a 45 day security review. Sounds like pretty good advice to me.

DPI: "Hey Bill, should we fight this review?"

BC: "Nope. Oh btw, that will cost you $$$$$$$."

Excpet for Gore was in Saudia Arabia saying how Bush is driving all of our allies away and that we need more allies in the gulf................... and then all of this. One side or the other is going to get hurt by this.

Well our allies were already going away with the creations of the EU, but Bush is making them not like us too. And let's not even talk about "allies" in the mid east.

We need new allies. I can think of several countries in Asia who would be good candidates, but e pissed them off too.
